Cavum septum pellucidum was a condition of boxers that resulted in brain damage. It ocurred when a boxer recieved several violent hits directly to their head.

When a boxer gets Cavum septum pellucidum, they get a hole in the membrane of the brain, separating the ventricles from it. The neurons in the area of the incident are also traumatised.
Rocky Balboa, the famous boxer, developed the condition after fighting Ivan Drago in Moscow. In 1986 Rocky was diagnosed with it but did not get a second opinion as Adrian begged him to stop fighting. In 2005 at the age of 59, he finally had his brain scanned with much updated equipment and found that the extent of the damage was not as serious as first thought.
